Working Not Working

If you’re not familiar, Working Not Working is a website that connects freelance creatives with companies looking to hire them. As any WNW member knows, they’re also much more than that–and one of the main reasons the studio survived it’s first few years in business.

So, when founders Justin and Adam hit us up to help them throw a bash for the Working Not Working 5 year anniversary, we (of course) jumped at the opportunity.

With a design concept of a five year birthday party, we wanted to fill the room with everything a 5-year-old would ever think to ask for… and more. We’re talking a ball pit photo booth, a money booth, a mountain of melting ice cream cakes, inflatables of all shapes and sizes, balloons, Cinderella, a Minion, Elmo, a Ninja Turtle, and piñatas filled with candy and stuff a 5-year-old doesn’t need to know about.

We handled all the design work, including dozens of illustrated animations, projections that flanked the dance floor, hand painted mirrors and bathrooms around the venue, and tons of party promotion. Happy birthday Working Not Working!
