Dieline Awards 2025

When The Dieline approached us to create a short film kicking off the 2025 submission season for their annual Dieline Awards, we knew we had to make something as vibrant and adventurous as the packaging it celebrates. Each year, the Awards honor the most innovative packaging design, with winners taking home the coveted Dieline Award trophy—fittingly shaped like a bold, unmistakable “D.”

So, we took that defining silhouette and ran with it, using the iconic “D” as the unifying thread to craft a suite of packaging forms and labels—repeating that core shape throughout the film.

As we journey through the various award categories—fragrance, food, drinks, wine, and more—we don’t just showcase our packaging; we immerse it in conceptually rich (and often delightfully bizarre) worlds that bring each category to life. The result? A playful, visually striking celebration of design, where packaging isn’t just a container—it’s the star of the show.

A WORLD OF PACKAGING... LITERALLY

As the Dieline Awards celebrate a diverse range of categories, we crafted each environment to reflect its trophy-worthy packaging. Our ice cream world is a whimsical, candy-colored dreamscape, Eau Die Line (a name we’re particularly proud of) floats in a minimal high-fashion studio, and the fluted glass bottle of our imaginary top-shelf aperitif is nothing short of lush and vibrant. Hey we’d drink that – just kidding it doesn’t exist.

SOUNDS LIKE A DREAM

Our custom audio score—crafted by Julian Lahdesmaki at Roju Sound—magically ties our many environments together. Our Summer Jam is playful and bouncy, the cheese cave is deep and ambient, and the ice cream world is light and bright. With this textural soundscape, each setting feels immersive and tactile—many of which we’d happily live in. But, alas, we cannot.

THE FULL PACKAGE

A primary goal was for every package—and the world it inhabits—to feel bespoke and unique, yet still belong to the same cohesive packaging universe. For the film’s grand finale, we bring the whole cast together on a shared packaging shelf—and what a star-studded shelf it is.
